A river with healing powers mysteriously appeared in Nachi, a community in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State.

Copied from http://news.naij.com/53004.html
A river with healing powers mysteriously appeared in Nachi, a community in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State.
Already named 'Orimiri Jordan' (River Jordan) it has become a Pilgrimage Centre, playing host to people from all parts of Nigeria.
Countless testimonies abound as Nigerians struggle to dip themselves into the River.
According to reports, it all started on the 11th day of November 2013 when a Fulani herdsman ran to the community and announced how water covered the place just few minutes after he passed.
“He told us that he passed that place with his herd of cattle and soon after, heard a strange noise; when he turned back, he discovered that a big stream has appeared at the same place he just passed with his cattle. At that point, he ran to Garki and informed his relatives, who also came there and discovered that the water had healing power. From that point, the news spread to the community”, a source disclosed.

Speaking on the origin of the river, the traditional ruler of Nachi community, His Royal Highness, Igwe F.O Onuigbo, Obi II of Nachi, said that at his palace that the mystery River was older than him.
He said “I used to pass through that area to attend school at Inyi-Achi in Oji River, in the early 40s. In those days, there is no water there, the only thing you see there is white sand. But once you get there and you are thirsty, all you need to do is to scratch the surface of the land and ask if for water, water will full your hand immediately if you are an upright person, but if you are evil, no water will come out. That has been the situation”.
Another octogenarian, Chief Festus Ude said “later, we noticed that after some years, the water will form a stream there and would disappear in few weeks. If such happens, we will be fetching water there. However, women who are menstruating and evil people don’t go there. We never heard about healing power of the River until this recent appearance of the River.
“The last time it appeared was in 1992, and at that time, it just formed a small stream, which later disappeared. It has never been as large as this. This is all I know, we have never known about its healing power, this is the first time we are hearing about healing, I don’t whether it is true, we equally heard it like you”.

Commercial motorcycle operators, popularly called “Okada”, photographers and petty traders, are already making business out of it.
Right at the junction leading to the location of the “Jordan River”, the visitor is presented with a scene of a busy motor park, where hawkers, food vendors, transporters and okada riders battle for customers.
On the other side of the road, cans of various sizes are displayed for those who came empty handed. From that point, you park your vehicle, mount on Okada and the journey begins.
According to motorcyclist, “I have a vulcanizing shop at the Nachi Market, but when this new business came, I had to close the shop temporarily so that I can also make money here. I hardly make N1000 a day there in my shop, but since I joined this Okada transport to the Enugu Jordan River, I make no less than N10, 000 every day. One of my friends called my attention to it, and I will forever be grateful to him”.

The okada operators charge their passengers fares ranging from N500 to N1000 depending on their bargaining power.
On getting to the River, another business scene welcomes you. Here, apart from those hawking snacks, photographers are not left out. This presents the place as not just a miracle centre, but a tourist centre. While some of the visitors dip themselves or swim in the River, the photographers take shots, get the pictures ready immediately at the cost of N200 depending on the number of exposures.
One of the photographers said that they make between N20, 000 to N40, 000 every day.
“You can see that some people come for fun, not just in search of miracle but to see the mysterious River. So when such people come, they request for shots and it has really provided us with good business here.

Sources disclosed that many visitors had testified to all forms of miracles after visiting the place.
People of all ages, with all forms of ailments are being assisted by their relatives and friends to dip themselves into the River.
A can seller at the entrance said “my house help was suffering from enlarged scrotum; we were trying to raise money to go to University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital before a friend told me about this place. We brought the boy here and by the time we went home, he was fully healed, that was how I started selling empty cans here”.
Another visitor, a civil servant, who identified himself as James told our correspondent that he came after neighbours told him about the healing power of the water.
“I heard about people who had difficulties in walking but they got healed after visiting this place; I also heard of people who regained their sight after visiting this place; I am just coming out from the River and I believed that I am free of any form of sickness and challenges”.
Meanwhile, the crowd of anxious Nigerians seeking for miraculous solutions to their problems has continued to surge into the River.
Even security agents are not left behind as some of them were seen either with their water cans or aiding their loved ones into the River.
However, the water is expected to also dry up any time in the same mysterious way as it came.

Does it mean that rigging was attempted or perpetrated?

Anambra Governorship Election: Ngige, Nwoye, Ubah reject election

AWKA -The three governorship candidates of PDP, APC and LP, Tony Nwoye, Chris Ngige and Ifeanyi Ubah vowed last night to reject whatever result that would be announced by INEC from Saturday and Sunday gubernatorial elections in
Anambra State.
At a joint news conference addressed at 8pm at Finotel Hotel, Awka, Senator Ngige presented the official position of the three contestants on the election.
The three candidates who had earlier in the day expressed their dissatisfaction with the outcome of the election which is yet to be announced by INEC as at press time last night.

Ngige said: “Our stand is that Saturday election was characterized by fraud, malpractices and massive irregularities and we call on INEC to put in place another process to conduct a fresh election to enable the people of Anambra elect their governor that will take over from the present governor on March 17 next year.
“The irregularities clearly noticed included the omission of the names of many voters in the registers presented for the election in the over 4,000 polling units.
We were assured that the process will be free and fair during the stake holder’s meeting with the INEC Chairman, Prof Attahiru Jega, but little did we know that they had planned to disenfranchise many of our supporters by deleting their names from the register everywhere in the local government areas. It was so massive and we hereby reject the voters registers used for this election.
“We were assured by the INEC chairman that the electoral process would be transparent but we experienced was to the contrary.
“Thirdly we discovered that result sheets were translocated other than the purpose for which they were meant. For instance some result sheets meant for some polling booths in Idemili were taken to another area even when they were coded.
“There were massive. harassment and intimidation of voters and our party agents. The party agents’ accreditation cards were described as fake and they were hounded out hence we had no agents at most poling booths.
“There was massive deployment of money by APGA through its serving commissioners, party chieftains, contractors and some other individuals who were deployed to pay each voter as much as N10,000 to vote for APGA.
“Having noticed the various flaws …we have come to inevitable conclusion that this commission is determine to go back to its old ways and that the much gains made in 2011 election is being reversed.
“We therefore urge the INEC to cancel the charade called election conducted in Anambra and deploy transparent officials including a new Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC to conduct a fresh election in the state.
“No election result should be announced as the elections have not been concluded. What they are doing now is an exercise in futility.
“We are peace-loving people in Anambra state and they should not provoke the people to violence. A word is enough for the wise.”
Both Ubah and Nwoye said they all agreed to take a common position on the issue, insisting that the election should be cancelled.

on november 18, 2013 at 6:41 am in news
The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has refused to declare APGAs Obiano winer of the Anambra gubernatorial election with majority votes of 174,710.
This was because the total numbers of cancelled votes was more than the difference between the numbers of votes cast for the winner and the runner up of this election according to the State INEC official who read the results at about 6am Monday morning.
The PDP had 94956 while the APC had 92300.
The INEC official however said that there will be a suplimentry election in the areas where election was canceled.
He also enjoined politicians to give peace a chance.

MY GUY MAN FRIEND

‘We finally broke up’, he said as I listened with keen interest and wondered within me what might possibly be the problem cos’ about two months ago it was love all the way, we could barely discuss pressing issues but his love to this same girl.
She was seeing another guy… he mumbled
An uncontrollerable outburst of laughter ensued from my loins, such could not be contained, but I must try.  So I cunningly diverted it into a seemingly unending cough that lasted for like 20 seconds. I soon discovered that am beginning to draw attention to our table within the restaurant where we stopped over for a brief relief from site work; I excused myself and immediately rushed to the restroom where I could easily empty the rest of the un-expressed amusement.
He continued, after I hv returned to my seat, fully comported to hear the rest of the story; ‘I called off the relationship when I realised that she has another man in her life….hmmn  that’s all, its all over now’.
At this point I became moody as I sensed sorrow in his heart, and I regretted laughing at him but not completely ‘cos I know my guy…hehehehehe
Is she all you have? I asked with an austere expression.
‘Hmmmn! You know, men run things; we are in control…that’s how it ought to be’. Are you answering my question? I queried at once.
‘Eeemmmh! You know now, guy man gats to be sharp nah, one leg here one leg there, adighi ano ofu ebe ekiri mmanwu (one can’t get the full fun when viewing a masquerade from one side).
At those words, my mind went blank for a split second, my thoughts consequently went wild and I refrained from bursting out immediately, I kept my thoughts within me,
·         See this my guy ooh, nawaooh
·         So why complain that shes seeing another guy since you are culpable of the same offence
·         Ooh, men run things, and women get runned/ruinned? Answer me Mr. man ( I asked as if my thoughts were audible)
·         Nawaooh…..see someones philosophy, come to think of it, what would have made the girl to stick to you when theres no guarrantee that you will marry her?
·         Men are polygamous in nature, maybe this is his over-riding principle in relationships…I wonder ooh. And women are slaves for life? Too bad.
A call from his cell phone interrupted my thoughts and I guessed same happened to him too ‘cos it seems he has a lot on his mind too. He excused himself and whispered in my ears…a new catch… with his usual amusing expression.
He returned after a long conversation with his new catch over the phone, ooops, our time is up here, lets get back to work, he said.
As we walked, he continued, ‘i just wish that one day women will learn to have one man in their lives’, I shouted,….Amen, and men will stop double dating too.
He acted deaf to my last clause, he further expressed, ‘they nolonger abide by our cutural values and dictates, anyway that’s why a lot of them are not maried yet…..mtcheew’
So how will your evening be like? I asked as we got close to site. Any plans for me, he asked with a full smile on his face. Yes I replied, I want to take you to a nearby river/stream.
For what? He screamed, you know I don’t swim. In reply I said, I really want to personally supervise the washing/cleaning of your brain/mind ‘cos it’s filled with dirts and junky mindsets and afterwords refresh your thought pattern back to factory default (the way God created it)
The rest of the story, are they not written in the ‘tales of cutex and his friend’?
We are always quick to judge others while we think we are perfect, men think it’s their heritage to be promiscous and gets infuriated when their partner does the same, and if you think am encouraging our ladies to doubledate then you missed the main theme of the story. Its fiction anyway, before you start throwing stones at this my good friend…heheheheehe Dalunu!

IDEAL WORLD

Imagine a world of truthfulness
World void of deceit and manipulations
World free from hidden intentions/agenda
World unshackled from all form of crookedness and devious tendencies
That is my ideal world
And if you desire such, then we have something in common
But if you prefer the present state of things, then I can’t help it
You have chosen a life parallel to mine . . .

BEDSIDE THOUGHTS....

As I lay me down to sleep, I reminiscence the heart yearnings of a dear friend
I really struggled to hold the thoughts, but her exact words kept reechoing … “I hate men”, “why can’t they love me for who I am?”, “must they demand for sex?”.
Still in my meditative posture, I immediately grabbed the pen by my bedside to ventilate the unexpressed thoughts.
My loud thoughts
‘I hate men’: -
§  Do you actually mean all men, or a category?
§  If it’s a  category, then why generalize?
§  Why stick with the same kind of men and expect different result?
§  Why don’t you ‘port’ to some personalities with deep affinity to divinity and would not dare some things which are obtainable with ordinary men…?
§  Or is it that such men ll not even stroll along the narrow streets of your heart…?
§  If so, then, is it not better you reposition to at least experience such people before the hasty conclusion about men?
Hmmmn…. Just thinking though –

‘why can’t they love me for who I am’: -
§  For whom you re’ you said…?
§  Does it mean that there’s nothing to love about your personality…?
§  No no no… I don’t think so…
§  Or is it that they have not discovered your personality…?
§  Maybe the true personality has been deliberately hidden. God knows why…
§  If that’s the case, then you should not blame the kind of then that come around.

‘must they demand for sex?’: -
Wooooow
§  Could they have demanded otherwise…?
§  Re they seeing any other thing in you other than a sex tool…or is the world crazier than I know…?
§  Maybe  your outlook is of the same manner with ladies that freely give without reservations…?
§  Eeeeehm… or, are they trying to get the dividends of their huge investment….? i feel like laughing, but this is serious.
§  How ll a piece of land, duly acquired by the owner revolt when he wants to use it…? Its actually against natural laws
§  Wait…..you want to tell me that you don’t know they bought you over…?
Sounds so funny……..
§  Lets analyze it….you remember those wonderful take-away packs, those gift items with costly jewelries and the money that was deposited into your account…what are they for? For your upkeep I guess…I see
§  So  caring young man…… huh? No doubt, he also care about what he’s expecting in return (all join)
Am I trying to justify/side with such men…? I doubt, I  just think that you are the cause of your woes
As an eagle, don’t expect to soar so high when you congregate with mere low flying birds.
BUT PLEASE, ALL MEN ARE NOT THE SAME, ATLEAST I KNOW THAT ‘THE MAN OF CALVARY’ LOVES YOU FOR WHO YOU ARE.
Woow…having emptied my mind…..i guess I can now sleep…catch you later.

LOGO: AS IMPORTANT AS THE COMPANY ITSELF

LOGO: AN IMPORTANT ASPECT OF COMPANY’S BRANDING AND IDENTITY

Your company logo is your companys face to the world. Its one of the first things someone will see when they visit your website or look at your product packaging. A unique logo is one of the main ways people remember your company.. It should give those who see it a feeling for what your company does just by looking at it. It should give people a sense of trust to buy from your company.

Logos are the foundational element of a company's branding strategy.

Logos are a critical aspect of business marketing. As the company's major graphical representation, a logo anchors a company's brand and becomes the single most visible manifestation of the company within the target market. For this reason, a well-designed logo is an essential part of any company's overall marketing strategy.

PURPOSE
Corporate logos are intended to be the "face" of a company: They are graphical displays of a company's unique identity, and through colors and fonts and images they provide essential information about a company that allows customers to identify with the company's core brand. Logos are also a shorthand way of referring to the company in advertising and marketing materials; they also provide an anchor point for the various fonts, colors and design choices in all other business marketing materials.

DESIGN PRINCIPLES
Good logos should be unique and comprehensible to potential customers. Although there are myriad choices for color, visual elements and typography, in general a logo should help convey some information about the company, or be designed in a way that gives some sense of meaning about the company or its industry. For example, cutting-edge firms and tech/construction companies tend to have angular logos to convey speed/accuracy, while service-oriented firms have rounded logos to provide a sense of service and trust.

BRAND IDENTITY
Logos are the chief visual component of a company's overall brand identity. The logo appears on stationery, websites, business cards and advertising. For that reason, a well-designed logo can contribute to business success, while a substandard logo can imply amateurishness and turn off potential customers. However, a logo should cohere well with other aspects of a company's visual presentation: No logo, however well designed, can look good when surrounded by contradictory graphical elements or inconsistent fonts. This is why a logo is the basic unit of a larger brand identity that includes company fonts, colors and document-design guidelines.
Avoid re-creating different types of logos for specific purposes (e.g., letterhead and business cards) or having similar-but-not-identical versions for print and online purposes.

THORNY ROSE.....A POEM

THORNY ROSE
In a mission for an ideal world
Void of all unruly tendencies
Alienated from all enigmatic inclination
Could I be in an awful quest?

Searchlights was keenly positioned
To reveal the hidden depths
To characterize such world
Could I be pursuing shadows?

At the brink of doomed quest
An apparition of idyllic world appeared
Affection validated the glimmer realm
Could I be in the dreamland?

It all seemed so rosy
Then jerky intrusion dotted the cruise
But roses are not without thorns
Could I be disillusioned?

Consequently awaken by the 'reality'
That he who dares not grasp the thorn
Should never crave the ROSE
Mission completed, I guess.
